With the aim to provide better human resource to the deparment following steps are taken:
- Recruitment of fresh mining engineers and geologists through Punjab Public Service Commission
- Training of mining engineers and geologists in China
- Arrangement of several workshops including Asian Development Bank Workshop on mineral investment
- 1260 students have been awarded 3 years DAE Program in mining and 2 year certificate in surveying. Similarly 5075 mine workers have been trained in various disciplines of mining
