To ensure safety of labour involved in mining sector Mines Rescue and Safety Area Sub Station, Munara has been established, whereas existing three Mines Rescue and Safety Stations at Khushab, Choa Saiden Shah and Makerwal, have been upgraded/strengthened to cover the emergencies of roof fall and water inundation in addition to the gaseous atmosphere in the mines. Another Mines Rescue and Safety Area Sub-Station, at Ara Basharat in District Chakwal is being established. These Safety Rescue Stations have remained instrumental in saving the lives of hundreds of injured and maimed labours in post mine accidental periods.
