Samia Saleem, Additional Secretary Mines & Minerals chaired a follow up meeting regarding launching of mining cadaster system and formulation of ADP scheme regarding strengthening of royalty regime. Representatives of the Directorate General Mines & Minerals, Punjab IT Board, Deputy Secretary (Technical) participated in the meeting. Representaive of the different divisions were directed to coordinate with the GIS team in collection and verification of data and develop a mechanism for updation of the data relevant to their division. It was directed that a comprehensive road map for launching of system be devleoped after consultative sessions at DG Mines office. Regarding formulation of ADP scheme for strengthening royalty regime, the it was further directed that a viable/practicable proposal be developed for ADP formulation after consultative sessions between reps of DG Mines and Punjab IT Board. Further, progress on scheme of digitization of inspection regime of Inspectorate of mines was also apprised to participants.
