Monitoring of Safety Issues

Inspectorate of Mines is responsible to ensure safety and regulations of mines under the provisions of the Mines Act, 1923, rules and regulations made thereunder and other laws concerning to mining labour. These functions are performed through inspections of mines and quarries, conduct of inquiries into mine accidents, analysis of environmental samples in and about the mines, teaching and training of miners community by pre-service and in-service training programs and follow up of cases in the courts of law related to different violations committed by mine operators.
